In this task you will listen to an audio file and select which Korean word you believe is being spoken. For example you might need to decide if you heard a participant saying 달,딸 or 탈.
Very few of these participants had experience speaking Korean, and so you will often need to guess which word they are saying. All of the answers are equally probable: participants were asked to say each word the same number of times. This means that, when you need to guess, you should do so at random between the choices.
These data were personally recorded by our participants, and so the quality of the recording will often be limited. Please still try your best to identify the word being said.
On occasion, you will come across mis-recordings (e.g., where the participant did not provide an answer, produced an entirely incorrect word, or where a file did not load). In these instances, mark the item as NA.
Before starting, please enter your coder ID. Additionally, as you go through the task, please keep track of the item number where you take a break. Then, when you resume your session, you can jump to that item from this screen. If you always use the same device, then a cookie will also remember these pieces of info.

Remember:
You will often need to guess which word is being said, and all answers are equally probable.
Try to listen through low-quality recordings.
Only use the "Blank recording or incorrect word" button when it is clear the participant did not attempt to produce one of the listed words.
